I’ve been re-watching “The West Wing” and fantasizing about a country led by New Hampshire native and President Jed Bartlet, an articulate, intelligent, well-respected leader who surrounds himself with top-notch staff dedicated to serving the American people. On “The West Wing,” Congress grapples with partisanship while it legislates on the most significant issues of the time, impressing upon the viewer that members of Congress are committed to serving the needs of those who elected them.
Excellent letter, Stephanie! I've thought the same thing many times about the West Wing. Certainly Jeanne Shaheen is heroic in real life for her efforts for our state and this country. She deserves our vote and Granite Staters deserve a champion who is dedicated to working on our behalf.
