To the editor:

I’ve been following the recent talk from a few of our city councilors about amending the charter to include a tax cap, and frankly, it’s a move that should worry all of us. On the surface, “capping taxes” sounds like a win for the taxpayer, but when you look at how these things actually play out, it’s a recipe for long-term decline.
