To the editor:

U.S. Border Patrol agents, many of whom we know and respect, have for decades kept our border secure but fluid, allowing communities, commerce and culture to coexist. Along with our local police they are now being coerced by questionable laws and our tax dollars (repurposed by this administration) to resort to the heavy-handed and cruel tactics that ICE is using nationwide to destroy families and communities.
