To the editor:

My memere has been in a two year battle with cancer and walks daily to remain active and healthy and to try to beat the cancer. On Monday, while out for her walk she fell on a small patch of ice. She was not able to get up since she wasn't sure if she had broken her ankle. Come to find out, she had in fact broken her ankle.
