To the editor:

It is an undeniable fact that the schools are in urgent need of repairs. I was recently speaking with an accounting professional unfamiliar with the local school situation and the subject of fundraisers came up in the conversation. This eventually led to me ask what would be required for the GRS school system to accept tax deductible contributions from individuals and businesses for the purpose of contributing to fixing the schools.
