The television of today is pretty slick. By clicking the remote, you can wander from today’s news to a 50-year-old movie, to a Gunsmoke rerun, to 64 men who are better at knocking a little ball into a hole than any other people on earth. Cool as this is, please try to imagine a different kind of TV. This one has controls for longitude and latitude and another for setting date and time.

You’re able to sit in your living room and pick any location and any date and see what’s going on at that time and place. This Time Viewer has one major limitation — it cannot see anything that has happened within the past 25 years, thereby providing a little privacy protection. Now you’re faced with the big choice — what to tune into first?
