BERLIN – In 1956, members of the local paper workers union formed their own credit union in Berlin to serve the needs of mill workers.

In the more than half century since its founding what is now Woodlands Credit Union has grown to approximately 16,000 members with branches in Gorham, Conway, Lebanon, and Plymouth.
