Mariah Bergeron, daughter of Jeffrey and Brenda (Cole) Bergeron of Berlin, has a soapstone sculpture at the Springfield Museum of Art, in Springfield, Ohio. The piece was selected to the Annual Student Juried Art Exhibition by Juror Gregg Luginbuhl, professor of art at Bluffton University, Bluffton, Ohio. Scott Dooley, professor of art and art department chair at Wittenberg University said, “ the artwork had to be produced in art classes taken at Wittenberg, or while studying abroad ...Mariah Bergeron, daughter of Jeffrey and Brenda (Cole) Bergeron of Berlin, has a soapstone sculpture at the Springfield Museum of Art, in Springfield, Ohio. The piece was selected to the Annual Student Juried Art Exhibition by Juror Gregg Luginbuhl, professor of art at Bluffton University, Bluffton, Ohio. Scott Dooley, professor of art and art department chair at Wittenberg University said, “ the artwork had to be produced in art classes taken at Wittenberg, or while studying abroad as a Wittenberg student. All media categories were allowed. The juror selected the best work for the exhibition and not all work submitted was selected.”

Bergeron’s piece entitled “Before Time” was the only freshman work presented in the show. The exhibition was on display at the Springfield Museum of Art, in Springfield Ohio, April 18, through May 2.
