CONCORD — Oral arguments were heard earlier this month on opposing motions dealing with two commercial logging projects approved for the White Mountain National Forest.

The environmental group, Standing Trees, filed suit in U.S. District Court for New Hampshire last May, challenging the U.S. Forest Service’s decision to approve the Peabody West Integrated Resource Project and the Tarleton Integrated Resource Project. The suit disputes the U.S. Forest Service’s finding that the projects will have no significant impact on the White Mountain National Forest.
