BERLIN — A father is alleging a Berlin police officer over-reacted in using a Taser on his 16-year old son early Saturday morning. He said his son suffered serious injuries including two minor skull fractures in the incident.

Police Chief Peter Morency said the youth was running away from the officer and ignored a warning that the Taser would be used if he did not stop. He said the youth incurred the injuries jumping over a railing as he fled to avoid being apprehended.
