CONCORD — Coos County officials are advocating for a bill that would have the state designate the county as a “distressed place-based economy” as a means of helping it attract federal grants.

Introduced by State Senator David Rochefort (R-Littleton), Senate Bill 180 would also require commissioners of state agencies to consult with the Coos County Commission before making regulatory decisions that affect Coos County.
