CONCORD — An inmate at the Federal Correctional Institution in Berlin was sentenced to 9 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to possessing a weapon in prison, U.S. Attorney Jane E. Young announces.

Kareem Davis, 23, was sentenced to nine months in federal prison by U.S. District Court Judge Landya McCafferty. Pursuant to federal law, the nine month prison term must be served consecutive to the 108 month prison term Davis is presently serving for a kidnapping which occurred in the District of Columbia in 2020.
