GORHAM – Under the fiscal budget passed by the House, some Coos County residents will have to drive over 90 miles to access a N.H. Division of Motor Vehicles substation.

State Senator Jeff Woodburn reported that the House budget closes DMV substations in Gorham and Colebrook. That would leave the Twin Mountain substation as the only one in Coos County. All three substations do driver licensing; Gorham and Twin Mountain also do vehicle and boat registrations, walking disability placards and plate applications, and provide copies of driving records.
