COOS COUNTY — Rescuers over the weekend undertook two arduous rainy rescues of young teens who suffered leg injuries hiking on snow-covered trails at higher elevations.

Fish and Games said both teens, who were hiking in different groups, injured their legs when one foot sunk deep into the snow while the other foot stayed on top — a condition referred to a post-holing.
