BERLIN – The proposal by New England Family Housing/TKB Properties to redevelop the former Tea Bird Restaurant building at 97 Main Street received the enthusiastic support of the city council Monday night.

The council voted unanimously to quit claim deed the building to the partnership at no cost other than transfer fees. The city obtained the dilapidated building last year through tax deed.
