He said firefighters responded to the scene of a burned out building on First Avenue with Engine I and a ladder truck and discovered that an old chimney near the front of the building had collapsed into the street. There were no reports of injuries. Firefighters removed the bricks from the roadway and cut a section of a wall, pushing it in towards the building as a safety measure. The building is owned by Dennis Beaulieu, who said he plans to clean up the debris and rebuild as soon as finances permit. The building was vacant at the time a fire broke out several weeks ago. The cause of the fire was determined to be arson related.
