MILAN -- Mr. Richard L. “Pelch” Pelchat, 59, of Milan, passed away on Monday February 18, 2008 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. He was born on April 11, 1948 in Berlin, the son of Rene and Edna (Bernier) Pelchat and was a lifelong resident of the area. He graduated from Berlin High School and was a member of St. Anne Church. He loved spending time with his family and three grandchildren, especially taking them fishing. He also loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He was born on April 11, 1948 in Berlin, the son of Rene and Edna (Bernier) Pelchat and was a lifelong resident of the area. He graduated from Berlin High School and was a member of St. Anne Church. He loved spending time with his family and three grandchildren, especially taking them fishing. He also loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He enjoyed joking around and the family will miss his quick wit and mischievous grin. He had been employed by Cross Machine and was a member of Local 131 Plumbers and Steamfitters. He will be deeply missed.
Members of the family include his wife, Carol (Boucher) Pelchat of Milan; two daughters, Vicki Fraser of Riverview, Fla., and Karen Ross of Milan; three grandchildren, Karl, Krystin and Justin Fraser; one sister, Jeannette Lizotte of Berlin; two brothers, Raymond Pelchat of Berlin, and Arthur Pelchat of Jefferson; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Theresa Barber.
