GORHAM — Consider joining fellow walkers, runners and outdoor enthusiasts on Saturday, April 11, to help raise funds for Androscoggin Valley Search and Rescue or AVSAR. Registration for “Scrambled Legs” will take place between 8:30 and 8:45 a.m. Participants will start and finish from 169 Main St. in Gorham (at the Edward Fenn Elementary School) and follow the mostly flat course, 3-mile course. All ages and abilities are welcome, as well as strollers and leashed, socialized pets. Monetary donations of one’s choice will be passed on to AVSAR, whose mission is “to assist New Hampshire Fish and Game, U.S. Forest Service, and other backcountry search and rescue operations in the White Mountain National Forest region in promoting safety in dispersed outdoor recreational activities.”
Rain date is Sunday, April 12, same timeframe. Email runforyou1@gmail.com or visit Facebook page Run For You with questions. Run For You is an organization located in Gorham that makes an effort to provide enriching experiences while supporting local charities.
