MANCHESTER — The Most Rev. Peter A. Libasci, Bishop of Manchester, today announced that His Holiness Pope Francis conferred the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice Medal upon Joseph Orzech and Henry Tupaj. Sr. Bishop Libasci nominated the two men earlier this year in recognition of their exemplary personal character and extraordinary service to the Diocese of Manchester — in particular, their tireless efforts to renovate Our Lady of the Mountains Shrine.
“With profound gratitude to our Holy Father and great joy, I announce the Papal Honors recently conferred by Pope Francis,” said Bishop Libasci. “I hope that Catholics and people of good will throughout New Hampshire will join me in congratulating the honorees and in thanking them for their continuing service to our Lord and His Church.”
