COLEBROOK and CANAAN, Vt. — In late August, the North Country will play host to the 28th annual Moose Festival. This North Country tradition is expected to draw thousands of people from New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts and Canada.

The event opens on Friday, Aug. 23, with activities on Main Street in downtown Colebrook from 3-8 p.m. Then the festival moves to the Recreation Park in Canaan, Vt., on Saturday, Aug. 24, from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
