The North Country celebrates its largest resident each year in fine style, with three days of moosey fun for all ages in Colebrook, Columbia, Errol, Pittsburg and Stewartstown, N.H., and Canaan, Vt. The 22nd annual Moose Festival, hosted by the North Country Chamber of Commerce, takes place from Friday through Sunday, August 23-25.

Events begin Friday in Colebrook, with Main Street sidewalk sales starting at 9 a.m. The afternoon features a guided tour of the proposed Colebrook River Walk, the annual quilt show, art and historical exhibits at the Colebrook Area Historical Society Museum and the Tillotson Center, demonstrations from the N.H. State Police K-9 unit and Boomerangs by Vic.
