BERLIN — On the banks of the Androscoggin River, and under a brilliant blue sky, a record-setting crowd of more than 300 runners and walkers gathered Saturday, Oct. 19, to participate in the seventh annual RiverFire 5K race. The race covers a 3.1-mile course that begins and ends at the Service Credit Union Heritage Park.

The event raises funds to support the Response Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence Support Center, a program sponsored by Coos County Family Health that provides services without charge to people whose lives have been touched by domestic or sexual violence.
