STRAFFORD -- Elsie Marvis Hagar Carpenter, the marvelous matriarch of the Carpenter/Graden/Clarke family, graduated to glory on May 10, 2010. Elsie left just short of her 99th birthday (August 29, 1911). She lived through remarkable and difficult era in our nation’s history and was truly a great member of the “Greatest Generation”.

Five generations celebrated with her as she prepared for her home-going. Elsie was greatly loved by family and friends.
