CONCORD — As Memorial Day weekend unofficially kicked off the summer season, Colonel Mark B. Hall and the men and women of the New Hampshire State Police issued a news release reminding residents and visitors of tips to keep them safe.

Traffic volumes increase on the state’s scenic highways and waterways in warmer weather. Troopers encourage everyone to follow safe driving practices, like buckling up and complying with speed limits. Anyone traveling with children should also ensure car seats are properly installed and used.
