LITTLETON — The Loading Dock, 35 Mill St., Littleton, will host Afrofuturist/Oro-shamanic poet and bass clarinetist Toussaint St. Negritude for a book signing and performance on Saturday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m. The event will also feature performances by Caroline Davis and Toby Summerfield. The doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the music begins at 7 p.m.

Former poet laureate of Belfast, Maine, St. Negritude presents his debut poetry collection, Mountain Spells. The work blends cosmic tones and freeform poetry, with the late Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Gwendolyn Brooks praising it for being “full of sweet sounds and surprises.” Through his exploration of life, jazz and nature, St. Negritude’s poetry illuminates themes of emancipation, spirituality and the African diaspora, offering a vision of collective liberation.
