Low-income and homeless Mainers now have access to free legal services thanks to a new weekly clinic brought to Portland by the Southern Maine Workers' Center and the Maine Volunteer Lawyers Project.

Based off of a successful model in California, the clinic held their first meeting at the SMWC offices last Thursday, and will continue to do so weekly from 5-7 pm offering free advice and pro-bono work from lawyers with experience in advocating for workplace rights.
