BERLIN — City councilors voted unanimously during its July 15 work session to send back to the planning board for revision a proposed ordinance allowing people who own property or a lot in Berlin to live in an RV without a permit for up to 14 days.

The vote to send it back to the planning board, the origin of the ordinance, gives the proposal a second chance of passage. The board is expected to review at some point the city council’s comments on the proposed ordinance, revise the proposal and bring it back to the council for consideration and a vote.
