John Gasser: Biden's policy to blame for gas price

To the editor:

We have recently read a letter here, from a socialist/Democrat, about the incredibly high gas prices we all are experiencing.

In his letter, he blames "Big Oil" and the international market, which are fake accusations. Do you think for one moment that the Biden administration would not go after "Big Oil" for gouging, by now, if this were true? This is a great attempt to persuade us that the problem is not the policies of President Biden. "But that dog don't hunt," as they say.

From about 2017 to 2020, The USA became a petroleum exporting nation. In other words we produced more oil than we used and were able to sell it to ourselves as well as the rest of the world. The price was one half of what it is today under the Biden regime.

The USA has oodles of oil but instead of using some of it, the Biden Administration wants to force us to buy electric cars with their very questionable batteries, to further their "woke" agenda. The only good point is that the socialist/Democrats have to suffer at the pump as the rest of us do.

It is too bad the agenda has changed from help the American people to force us to do their will.
