COOS COUNTY — State Rep. Herb Richardson of Lancaster has changed his party affiliation from Republican to Democrat, and the Coos delegation now is back to a 6-4 Democratic majority.

Richardson has served nine terms in the House, running as a Republican. But last Tuesday, he switched parties and is now a Democrat.
