BERLIN — Some residents gathered inside city hall auditorium for a public hearing on the proposed fiscal year 2027 budget also let councilors know how difficult it can be to physically get into the building because of its lack of handicapped accessibility.
With all funds listed, the total city budget proposed for FY27 is $57,725,395. That’s a 1.1 percent increase over the FY26 total city budget of $57,051,987. In dollars, the 1.1 percent sum represents a $673,408 increase over last year. Fiscal year 2027 begins July 1 and ends June 30, 2027.
