LANCASTER — Coos County Superior Court Justice Peter Bornstein has upheld his earlier ruling, denying a bail hearing for the truck driver charged in death of seven motorcyclists on Route 2 in Randolph last June.

Attorneys for Volodymyr Zhokovskyy had filed a motion for reconsideration, arguing the court overlooked points of law in rejecting their motion for an evidentiary hearing. In a ruling handed down Monday, Bornstein sided with prosecutors who countered that defense had failed to state any legal grounds for reconsideration.
