LANCASTER — Attorneys for the man charged with the 2024 killing of the mother of the couple’s two young daughters in a Main Street apartment in Berlin were in court April 10 seeking a dismissal of the charges because the case remains untried.

Duren, who turned 38 early in March, was in superior court last week. He has been held at the Coos County House of Correction and wore an orange jumpsuit indicating that placement in West Stewartstown. Defense attorneys Hanna K. Kinne and Margaret A. Kettles contend their client’s state and federal rights to a speedy trial have been violated.
