COOS COUNTY— After eight years as Coos County Sheriff, Brian Valerino is stepping down from the county’s top law enforcement position.

Valerino said he has enjoyed being sheriff but has decided not to run for another term. After over 30 years in law enforcement, he is looking to step down to part-time status.
