GORHAM — The filing period for the vacant Coos District 6 state representative seat closes Friday and as of Wednesday, at least three people have filed to run.

Former State Rep. Edith Tucker of Randolph traveled to Concord Monday to be the first candidate to put her name in contention for the seat that represents the towns of Shelburne, Randolph, and Gorham. Tucker is running in the Democratic primary. On Tuesday, Republicans Michael Murphy and Don Lacasse, both filed with the Gorham Town Clerk.
