BERLIN – The final funding for the Notre Dame senior housing project is expected to be formally approved Thursday, clearing the way for the old high school to be converted into a 33-unit supported senior housing facility.

Tri-County Community Action Program Housing and Economic Development Director Max Makaitis said N.H. Housing Finance Authority’s Multi-Family Housing Committee last Thursday approved a $5.1 million funding package for the project. The package includes $3.9 million in tax credits, a $150,000 Greener Homes loan, and a $1 million capital subsidy loan.
