Donna Godin: On policy and unity, Trump gets my vote

To the editor:

Donald Trump is a businessman, entertainer, and comedian. His speech might not be polished like a typical politician and his humor a bit offensive like a comic, but he is genuine, loves to make people laugh, and is a true American patriot who loves and cares about our country and people. I witnessed this in person when I saw Trump at a Nov. 11, 2023, rally in Claremont. He is not the evil person that the Democratic party leaders and liberal groups and media have personified him to be. They have twisted his words, taken them out of context and, frankly, lied about him. They say Project 2025 is Trump’s agenda, that he wants to eliminate Social Security, and implement a national abortion ban. These are all lies to scare people into not voting for Trump. I believe the three assassination attempts on Trump are a tragic direct result of their constant hate, lies and fear. My life was much better under the Trump administration. I can’t afford the Biden/Harris policies to continue for my future and my children’s future. Trump gets my vote on these policies and for unity.
