BERLIN — A court hearing scheduled for March 13 in Berlin District Court for Dustin M. Duren, charged with shooting and killing Caitlyn Naffziger, 31, the mother of the couple’s two children in a Main Street apartment, will be held at a later date in superior court, the next legal step for matters related to a felony case.

Duren, who turned 37 on March 4 — the date of his video hearing by 1st Circuit Court, Berlin Judge Janet H. Subers — remains in custody. If convicted on the special felony charge of second-degree murder, he faces life imprisonment.
