LANCASTER — Coos County Democrats and supporters will gather for the annual Truman Dinner on Thursday, Oct. 10, at 5:30 p.m. at The Mountain View Grand Spa & Resort.
Chairman Brian Bresnahan announced that presidential candidates Andrew Yang, Tulsi Gabbard, Joe Sestak and Alan Howe have all accepted an invitation to speak at this event that formally kicks off the 2020 election season in Coos County.
In addition, attendees will hear from U.S. Rep. Annie Kuster, Executive Councilor Mike Cryans and former gubernatorial candidate Steve Marchand.
During the Lancaster Fair, the Democrats offered fair-goers the opportunity to enter a drawing for two free tickets to this prestigious and historic dinner.
At their meeting on Sept. 20 in Colebrook, vice-chair Eamon Kelley announced that Beverlee Richter of Lancaster was the lucky winner.
When informed that she had won, Richter said that she was “extremely pleased to have won” and that she and her husband David will be attending.
The evening should prove to be informative and fun, not only for the Richters, but also for the many Democrats and supporters planning to attend.
