BERLIN — The North Woods Learning Center, formally the Child Development Center at White Mountains Community College, will hold an open house on Saturday, June 8, to celebrate their new name. Families with young children and interested community members are invited. This licensed and nationally accredited center is located at 15 Twitchell Lane in Berlin, which is across from the college, tucked away in the woods. Tours and activities for the children begin at 11 a.m., ribbon cutting will be at 11:30 a.m., and the cookout will last until 1 p.m. Donald Duck will be making a guest appearance as well. The North Woods Learning Center provides quality childcare for children between 12 weeks and 12 years of age, including a very active play-based preschool program for 3- and 4-year-olds. Applications for summer and fall programs are now available. For more information, contact Sue Cloutier at (603) 342-3011.
