COLUMBIA — For over three decades a motorcycle blessing had been held at the former Shrine of Our Lady of Grace in Columbia, bringing in thousands of motorcyclists for a weekend visit to the North Country.

The popular event at the shrine ended with the last blessing in 2014, followed by the closing of the shrine by the Oblates of Mary Immaculate, which owned the land. Last year, the property was sold to the Great North Woods Center for the Arts and, just one year later, that organization has announced the return of the bike blessing to the region.
