JEFFERSON — On July 2 at 6 p.m., at the New Hampshire Forest and Lands Building on Route 3, Weeks State Park will present Hero or Villain: Colonel Edward E. Cross.

Colonel Cross is the best-known Civil War hero from New Hampshire. Mortally wounded at Gettysburg, he led the Fifth New Hampshire Volunteers through some of the bloodiest battles of the war.
