If Senator Susan Collins votes to approve the controversial Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh later this fall, she may find it difficult to win back her seat for a fourth term in 2020.

As the Senator prepared her anticipated meeting with Kavanaugh this week (which happened as the Phoenix went to press Tuesday), a popular Crowdpac campaign emerged, seeking $150,000 to pledge to whomever emerges as Sen Collins’ Democratic opponent, to be distributed should Collins vote to confirm Kavanaugh in September's senate vote.
