CONWAY — M&D Playhouse will be holding auditions for its summer production of “A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum,” music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, with a book by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart, on Sunday April 2, and Monday, April 3, at 6:30 p.m. at the Eastern Slope Inn Playhouse at 2760 White Mountain Highway in North Conway.
The show will be directed by Mark Sickler, with musical direction by Laurie Turley, and choreography by Chelsea Hupalowsky.
In this laugh fest crafty slave Pseudolus, does all he can to win the hand of a beautiful, but slow-witted courtesan for his master in exchange for his freedom. Dress comfortably and for movement. M&D welcomes and encourages qualified performers of all ages, ethnicity, genders and abilities to audition. Tumblers, dancers, jugglers, clowns are highly encouraged to audition.
