CONWAY — With the aid of its generous sponsors, M&D at Eastern Slope Inn Playhouse is excited to announce its 20th anniversary season for 2020. Offering a variety of programming choices, including comedies, dramas and musicals, M&D presents another year of award-winning theater.

M&D’s 20th season includes:

“Constellations,” by Nick Payne, Jan. 9 through 19; “The Odd Couple,” by Neil Simon, Feb. 13 through March 1; “Matilda: The Musical,” book by Dennis Kelly and music and lyrics by Tim Minchin, March 26 through April 12; “Smell of the Kill,” by Michele Lowe, May 14 through 24; “Clue: On Stage,” based on the Paramount Pictures motion picture, based on the Hasbro board game Clue, adapted by David Abbinanti, adapted for the stage by Jonathan Lynn, Hunter Foster, Eric Price and Sandy Rustin, June 18 through July 5; “Cabaret,” book by Joe Masteroff, music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, based on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood, July 30 through Aug. 16; “Voice of the Valley,” Aug. 22, Aug. 29 and Sept. 5; “Appropriate,” by Branden Jacob-Jenkins, Sept. 10 through 20; “Veronica’s Room,” by Ira Levin, Oct. 15 through 25; and “A Christmas Carol,” Dec. 3 through 20.

“Our new home, with its traditional proscenium stage affords us the ability to present shows we could never do before. And I’m so excited about our first full season at the historic Eastern Slope Inn Playhouse,” said Mark Sickler, president of M&D’s board of directors and the newly titled artistic director. “Unconventional love stories, spine-tingling thrillers, big musicals, and everyone’s favorite holiday tradition ‘A Christmas Carol.’ There isn’t one show in the entire season, I wouldn’t want to see. Additional programming, like the return of ‘Voice Of The Valley’ will help round out an ideal year.”

Generally, all shows run for two consecutive weeks, Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. with Sunday matinees at 3:30 p.m. at Eastern Slope Inn Playhouse at 2760 White Mountain Highway in North Conway. However, the February, March, June, July/August and December selections will run for three consecutive weeks with the same performance times.

Additionally, M&D is offering season packages, which include seeing all 10 of its productions for $200, a six-pack of the shows of your choice for $135 and/or student Sunday tickets. Purchasing a package does not guarantee the same seat for each show.
