BRIDGTON, Maine — The First Congregational Church of Bridgton, Maine, will be presenting the Mollyockett Chorus of the Sweet Adelines on Sunday at 2 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The chorus sings a cappella in four-part harmony, and its repertoire includes ballads, show tunes, popular music and spirituals. The theme of this year’s performance is ’50s music and memories. The chorus is under the direction of Simon Smith.

This is the third year that the Sweet Adelines will kick off the church’s Summer Sunday Concert Series.

More Summer Sunday Concerts are scheduled for July, August and September. Details will be published later.

The Mollyockett Chorus has completed 23 years as a chapter of Sweet Adelines International and rehearses Tuesday evenings at the First Universalist Church of Norway, 479 Main St., Norway, Maine, from 6:30-9 p.m.

Women who are interested may visit the chorus at a rehearsal. More information is available at mollyockettchorus.org, or by calling Joan at (207) 803-2057.
