JACKSON — After being named the 2022-23 Gatorade New Hampshire Girls Track and Field Player of the Year earlier this month and receiving a $1,000 grant, Kennett High senior Aida Wheat of Jackson has earmarked where the funds will go — to the Mount Washington Valley Soccer Club, where the talented forward got her start.
“You gave her a start in soccer and helped her get connected with sports in the valley as well as ODP,” Shannon Palentchar, Aida’s mom, shared with Kelly Gagnon, of MWVSC. “We love what you stand for, which is why Aida wants to give back to you and MWV."
