DURHAM — For the second time in a week, junior Owen Arias has broken the Kennett High school record for the indoor shot put toss. Arias, who won the shot put and broke the school record with a toss of 43’6.75” on Dec. 23, ended 2023 with another record-setting performance at the Paul Sweet Oval on the campus of the University of New Hampshire in Durham last Saturday. He remained undefeated in the young season, winning with a record toss of 44’9”.

The school record highlighted another strong day indoors for the Eagles, who turned in a host of personal or season-best performances at UNH. The Kennett girls tied with Newmarket on 56 points to share first place among 12 schools, while the KHS boys were fourth out of 13 teams.
