BARTLETT — The 25th annual Bartlett Summer Hoop Camp will take place at the Josiah Bartlett Elementary School, starting Monday, July 22, and running through Friday, July 26.
Hoop Camp is designed for boys and girls who are entering the fourth through the eighth grades.
The camp was started prior to having a Bartlett Rec Department basketball program. Rarely did Bartlett kids make the high school teams due to their lack of skill and game experience. Ron Patch, together with middle school coaching staff, started the camp.
Robin Fall has been the director of the camp since it began in 1994.
“We are happy to have Coach Chris Clark as one our head coaches returning for his 17th year to camp,” she said. “He is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable coach who has played a vital role in our camps’ successes for many years. Coach Matthew Fall will be returning for his 13th year as a hoop camp coach. Matt has attended and been part of Bartlett Summer Hoop Camp for 20 years. His love of the game and experience will help make this year’s camp a memorable one. We are hoping to welcome back Coach Chris Bailey for his sixth year as a hoop camp coach. Chris is a Bartlett School alumnus, high school teacher and an experienced basketball coach having coached at the high school level and more recently coaching our elementary boys.”
Camp will run daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuition is $110 and includes a T-shirt and a basketball.
Campers will fine-tune their basketball skills, earn daily awards and prizes and have lots of fun.
