Week 5 of Cranmore Mountain Meisters started off with an unprecedented fifth beautiful day in a row.

We had over 260 Meisters racing this week. The Pay2Play option from open until close was for End 68 Hours of Hunger and raised well over $300 this week. The evening was filled with music, great lunch specials and raffle prizes as always.

It was another great week for the Meisters. We had a first this year as Richie Scanlon and Julien Deniaud both tied for the top spot with a 24.00, and to round out the top in third place was Trevor Tasker.

For the women, Rookie Maddie Glavin took the top spot this week but right on her tails was Taryn Palmer, to round out the top three was Kayla Kowal. Paul Robert for the Men and Martha Leich for the Woman won the tele-field.

For the Snowboarders, Matty Burkett took the top spot this week for the men. For the women, Maegan O’Neil took the top spot this week. Team scores will be posted on the Meister website in the morning, so check it out and see where your team stands.

This weekend at Cranmore, if you’d like to continue to help raise money for mountain bike trail building efforts in the valley, come check out the Trail Collective’s Winter Amazing Race, Sunday, Feb. 9, at Cranmore.

Solve riddles and answer questions to find your way around the slopes. Pre-registration and valid lift ticket or season pass is required. Visit Cranmore’s online event calendar to find more info on how to register. Next week at Mountain Meisters, we are celebrating with our mid-season party.

Meisters can join us for some fun, live music from Shark Martin, raffles and food from 5:30 to 7 p.m. For more information on events going on go to cranmore.com and click on the events page.
