Merry Christmas to all and to all a good run. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday!

There were dogs, runners, walkers and skiers in Whitaker Woods on Wednesday for the Breakfast Club and we were treated to a beautiful sunrise. This was our Pre-Christmas Run and the trails in Whitaker Woods, thanks to Steve Vosburgh and Mount Washington Valley Ski Touring, were in great shape. If you’re on vacation next week, consider joining the group for a walk, run, and/or breakfast!

Consider starting the New Year out on the right (or left) foot by taking part in the Frozen Flamingo 5K on New Year’s Day in Gorham. Walkers and joggers should flock to 169 Main Street between 9:30 and 9:45 a.m. to register. At 10 a.m. the 5K will start. Bright pink flamingos will mark the route. Instead of a fee, new boxes of tissues and/or disinfectant wipes are being collected for local classrooms. Check Facebook page RunForYou or email runforyou1@gmail.com for up to date information. You may also order your own shirt for the race from Corrigan Screen Printing for $15. Call and order at (603) 466-5399. Do so by Dec. 26 and you will receive it at the event.

Leave hibernation to the bears and get outside!
